Born with no one, born with nothing, born with no purpose, and born with no family; this boy travels to find them. He knows he may never find them, but he goes on. He started to travels from city to city looking for what he needs, no, for what he dreams of having. Each city is like the city before it, nothing. He continues only for the longing to find what he dreams for, for what he truly wants in this life, a family. Each person is the same as the last, looking at the boy with eyes of dislike and hate. When he’d see their looks, he’d ask himself.

Saiichi: “What did I do?”

Was it his black hair? Was it his dark gray eyes? Or was it his emotionless face? He never learned how feel or show emotions. He was always alone, so there was no one to teach or show him to smile when you’re happy, to cry when you’re sad, or
get mad when something bad happens. He started to study the people of each city when they smiled, when they cried, and when they got mad. At night he would find a lake and use the moonlight to practice his emotions. At first he was terrible, but little by little he’d get better and better. City after city he’d study the people during the day and practice during the night with little sleep.

One night while he was practicing he heard a noises coming from a tree. The boy turned.

Saiichi: "Who is there?”

Nothing happened so the boy walked up to the tree and looked up.

Saiichi: "Who's there?”

Said the boy again, but this time someone answered.

Seiichi: "You're a weird kid, you know."

A boy jumped out of a tree. He had blond short hair, bright blue eyes and was as tall as the lonely boy.

Seiichi: "I've been following you for awhile now, and you know what, I think you're weird."

Said the spiky haired boy with a big smile on his face. With a puzzled look, the lonely boy said.

Saiichi: "I'm weird? Why?"

The spiky haired boy quickly answered.

Seiichi: "Yep. You never talk to people, but you just sit there looking at them, and at night you just sit near the water smiling at yourself. I call that weird."

Saiichi: "I was trying to practice how to smile."

The lonely boy said quietly. Confused, the boy with the spiky hair said.

Seiichi: "Why?"

The lonely boy looked at the other boy.

Saiichi: "I don't know how smile or show my emotions because I don't have anyone to show me."

Then the lonely boy gave an emotionless face. The spiky haired boy gives off a big smile.

Seiichi: "That's it, you’re becoming my friend and since we're friends I should' tell you my name. I'm Seiichi, what's your name?"

The lonely boy looked at Seiichi.

Saiichi: "I don't have a name."

Puzzled, Seiichi thinks for a few seconds as he taps his foot on the ground.

Seiichi: “Oh I have a good name. Why not Saiichi? I like it because it sounds like my name."

Seiichi said with a big proud smile on his face. Saiichi loved his smile as well as his new name and he knew that this person seemed different than the rest of the others. As Saiichi saw Seiichi’s wonderful smile, Saiichi smiled as well making Seiichi shocked.

Seiichi: “Wow you have a really good smile, Saiichi. That must mean that you like your new name.”

Seiichi smiled again and hugged Saiichi as he nodded his head at Seiichi.

Seiichi: “Congratulations on your first real smile from the bottom of your heart. Now I just have to teach you the rest of the emotions.”

Seiichi looked forward with his arm around Saiichi.

Seiichi: “We have so much to work on but in the end it will be worth it. Come on Saiichi and travel with me so I can teach you all that is needed to learn about your emotions.”

Saiichi smiled again and nodded as he looks forward as well.

Saiichi: “Yes teach me because I want to learn everything that I can.”

Seiichi laughed at his responds and started to run.

Seiichi: “Well you better hurry up and not get left behind.”

Saiichi smile more and put his hand to his chest.

Saiichi: “It feels warm and it’s thanks to you, Seiichi.”

Saiichi smiled once more and started running towards Seiichi not know or caring what the future might bring for the both of them.
